Alexandria’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services kicks off a five-day street maintenance program Monday (July 14), focusing on three key roadways across the city. Crews will repave Mill Road from Eisenhower Avenue to the Sheriff’s Office, Trinity Drive from Fort Williams Parkway to Yale Drive, and Canterbury Lane from Trinity Drive to its end.
Workers will also repair concrete at the South Van Dorn Street and Eisenhower Avenue intersection during the July 14-18 schedule.
Affected residents and businesses received advance notice through signs and letters, with temporary “No Parking” restrictions posted before work begins. Officials warn that ignoring these signs could result in tickets and towing. Weather, equipment problems or other city projects may cause schedule changes, with delayed work rescheduled when conditions improve. More details are available at alexandriava.gov/go/2356.
