Alexandria Police investigate indecent exposure in Rosemont

An indecent exposure incident was reported early this morning in Alexandria’s Rosemont neighborhood.

The incident was reported at approximately 5:45 a.m. in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Linden Street, and then police were called again at around 6 a.m. in the area of Ramsey Street and Adams Avenue. No injuries were reported, and police canvassed the area for 45 minutes, according to the police scanner.

Witnesses told police that the suspect exposed his penis, according to dispatches.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a muscular build, approximately five feet seven to five feet nine inches tall, and wearing a black hoodie and white shorts.

It’s been several years since the Alexandria Police Department reported 10 to 11 indecent exposure incidents next door to Rosemont in Del Ray. No arrest from those incidents was ever announced.
