Two people were transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital this afternoon (May 30) after a two-car crash at N. Van Dorn Street and W. Braddock Road.

The crash between a black truck and a gray vehicle was reported at around 12:30 p.m. and briefly shut down the intersection. One of the people transported to the hospital complained of arm, back and abdominal pain, but was walking and alert, according to dispatches with first responders.

The intersection has seen several crashes over the years, including a police chase resulting in a crash last year, and a fatal crash in 2015. It is not, however, listed as a high-crash intersection in the West End.

Thanks to Luca Gattoni-Celli, who was at the scene and shared a photo of the incident on Bluesky.
