A popular jewelry store in Old Town has a new owner.

Katya and Sibila Ananieva, the mother-daughter owners of She’s Unique (205 King Street), recently announced that they’ve sold the business to their “longtime customers, best friends and business partners” Bridget Nistico and Rosio Garcia.

Sibila is retiring, and Katya is stepping away from ownership.

“As She’s Unique enters its next chapter, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible people who have helped shape its story,” Katya said. “I’m especially thankful to my mother, Sibila, who has been my rock and constant source of encouragement from the very beginning. I’m so grateful to our loyal customers and community who’ve celebrated their most meaningful moments with us, and to our dedicated team, whose grace and hard work have been the heartbeat of this boutique.”

Garcia is the co-owner and founder of the Little Mexico and Lolita restaurants in Richmond.

Nistico has years of retail management experience and will manage the store.

“Together, we’re excited to carry on the shop’s legacy while bringing in good energy, new ideas, and a modern vision—a perfect mix of the old and the new,” Nistico said. “Customers can expect the same welcoming atmosphere and carefully chosen pieces of independent designers from a range of jewelry offered in-store and online.”

Katya will be working at the store to say farewell on the following days:

  • Friday, May 2, from 12 to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 6, from 12 to 5 p.m.
