A new vintage gift shop is opening this summer in Del Ray.
The ribbon cutting for Stardust Vintage + Gift (1904 Mount Vernon Avenue) is set for Saturday, June 7. The location is the current home to antique shop La Brocante.
Amy Eggers, a founder and manager of the Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market, is the owner of the new business.
“My store will feature vintage merchandise, as well as new items made from vintage goods, new vintage-like items, and even some curated collections from our wonderful flea market vendors” Eggers said in an email. “In addition, I will be hosting events, workshops, classes (for kids & adults) and ‘Backlot Bargain’ sales on a regular basis.”
Eggers said that La Brocante will move next door to 1906 Mount Vernon Avenue.
“I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the woman I purchased the store from, Alex Holden,” Eggers said. “She’s shown me nothing but kindness and generosity throughout this entire process. She believed in me, gave me an incredible opportunity, and continues to support my success. She’ll continue to run La Brocante, but now, in the former Top it Off space at 1906 Mt. Vernon. I truly appreciate her making this next chapter of my life possible.”
Eggers said more details on the ribbon cutting will be released soon.
