The 19-year-old who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died Saturday evening at 22 Canterbury Square has been identified by the Alexandria Police Department (APD).
The victim has been identified as Deaundre Jack, of Alexandria.
The Alexandria Police Department found Jack with a light pulse and suffering from two gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Canterbury Square apartment complex near Holmes Run and Duke Street at around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday (April 19), according to the police scanner. Jack died at the scene and was treated by police before medics could arrive, according to police at the scene.
APD received multiple calls that there were gunshots and that the man was “rolled” out of a white four-door sedan. One witness told police that they heard shots and looked out their window to see a white sedan drive northbound out of the parking lot.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and are recanvassing the area.
