Alexandria firefighters tackled a porch fire that had spread into a first-floor apartment on Friday morning (March 21) in Old Town North.
According to Alexandria Firefighters, the blaze in the 1300 block of East Abington Drive was quickly extinguished by Engine 209 and Truck 205, the first units on the scene.
Engine 209 and Truck 205 arrived first in the 1300 Block of East Abington Drive in North Old Town. Crews found and extinguished a porch on fire with extension to a first floor apartment. Battalion 201 held the command.
No injuries were reported, and the full extent of the property damage is unknown at this time.
