The Old Town Festival of Speed & Style is set for May 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the 200-500 blocks of King Street. This free event is open to everyone.
On March 19, 2025, Principle Gallery (208 King Street) will host a Poster Reveal Reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to honor Thomas Kuester, the artist behind this year’s festival poster.
In a release, organizers say, “This special event is our opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, partners, supporters and committee members, for their unwavering support to help make the Festival a success year after year. A sincere thank you to Principle Gallery for generously hosting this year’s Poster Reveal Reception, and to the talented Thomas Kuester for his exceptional artwork. We are deeply appreciative of our dedicated committee members, participants, sponsors, and the entire community—your continued support makes this event possible”.
The festival kicks off with the HIGH-OCTANE BALL on May 17, hosted by Land Rover Alexandria. The organizers are excited about the entertainment: “David Garibaldi will be there, creating an incredible piece of art live on stage. It’s something you have to see to believe.”
