Got an issue to raise to local leaders in Alexandria? Later this month, City Council will hold a town hall meeting to get feedback and discuss upcoming projects.

The meeting will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Redella S. “Del” Pepper Community Resource Center (4850 Mark Center Drive) in the city’s West End.

According to the city:

Mayor Alyia Gaskins, Vice Mayor Sarah Bagley, and all members of City Council will be present to speak about the issues impacting you and your family. You can also get the latest news on upcoming projects and initiatives in Alexandria. Spanish, Amharic, and Arabic interpretation services will be available at the event.

In her campaign for mayor, Gaskins promised to connect with residents frequently. Her predecessor, Justin Wilson, often challenged residents to express their opinions in literal running town hall meetings.

Gaskins conducted her first town hall meeting on Jan. 9, shortly after taking office.

Residents are encouraged to submit questions online and register for the event. You can also watch from home and attend virtually.
