Notes: GoFundMe raises support for Del Ray restaurant worker who lost home in fire

A GoFundMe campaign has raised $4,696 to help an employee at Pork Barrel BBQ who recently lost their home in a fire.

The GoFundMe supports Renee Watts, who is safe but lost her clothing, furniture and more in a fire.

The fundraiser was organized by the Del Ray Business Association (DRBA) and 100% of the proceeds will go to Watts.

“Renee is currently without a place to live and needs help transitioning out of living in hotels,” the DRBA said. “As someone who always shows up with a smile, works tirelessly to serve our community, and brings warmth to our local Del Ray family, it’s now our turn to show up for Renee.”
