The City of Alexandria and local courts have reopened today with regular operating hours after two days of closures due to snow.

The City’s SnowReport shows that all streets are at least passable and most are completely cleared.

Alexandria City Public Schools switched to asynchronous learning today. As commentors noted: this is likely because not all of Fairfax’s streets are cleared. Fairfax schools are closed today.

According to a release from the City of Alexandria:

Please note the following recovery and operational updates:

  • The City is continuing to remove snow and treat ice on streets and at public facilities before openings tomorrow. If you notice an area that has not been serviced, please call 311 or visit alexandriava.gov/Alex311 to put in a ticket for service. Alex311 is open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
