🚨 You need to know

Firehook Bakery(430 S. Washington Street) in Old Town (correction: not Del Ray) is closing on Christmas Eve, Zebra reported.
Firehook launched in 1992 and had three locations — a Chantilly and D.C. location in addition to the Alexandria one — but all three will be closing on December 24.
The company said the closure is part of a planned pivot to a nationwide expansion of their Firehook Cracker business.
According to the company’s website:
It is the end of an exciting chapter in Firehook’s history. Firehook will be permanently closing all three of its retail bakeries on December 24, 2024. As a result of the store closings, as of Dec. 24 we will no longer be selling the specialty items offered at the bakeries on-line, but will continue to sell our full range of Mediterranean Baked Crackers.
Of course it is a bittersweet announcement. While we will miss being a purveyor of delectable artisan breads and pastries, the decision was made so that we can support the rapid growth and expansion of our national Firehook Cracker business.
We have been honored to serve you for the past three decades and are grateful for your years of patronage and support!
