Don’t miss ALXnow’s photos of Alexandria’s Scottish Christmas Walk weekend

It was quite a weekend in Alexandria.

Alexandria’s Scottish Christmas Walk weekend started Friday (Dec. 6), where hundreds attended the decadent annual Taste of Scotland fundraiser for the Campagna Center at The Atrium building in Old Town.

The following morning, Saturday, was the 53rd annual Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade. Hundreds of costumed musicians, dancers, performers and even Santa Claus made appearances. The grand marshal of the parade was outgoing Mayor Justin Wilson.

Saturday night concluded the festivities with Alexandria’s 24th annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights.
