Meet Timmy, a 7-year-old petite pup in need of a forever home!
This small guy has been waiting for the perfect, patient family to love. He is currently up for adoption through the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
While he is a bit shy and timid meeting new people, Timmy warms up with a little patience and reassurance, according to AWLA spokesperson Erin Shackelford.
“He also enjoys playing toy tug-of-war with us, but can also entertain himself with a licky mat or chew stick,” said Shackelford. “Timmy — as most chihuahuas do — can be persnickety, which is why he needs a family that would be willing to give him the space and time he needs to adjust to a new environment.”
Timmy would do great around cats and other aloof dogs!
