JUST IN: Police arrest two Fairfax men for Braddock neighborhood double shooting in September

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) announced that two Fairfax County residents have been arrested for a non-fatal double shooting in the Braddock neighborhood earlier this year.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of N. Fayette and Wythe Streets on Sept. 28. Two juveniles were shot while they sat in a parked car on Wythe Street.

According to APD:

Fitzhugh Godwin, IV, 22, is charged with two counts of malicious wounding and one count of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Marcus Elliott, 28, is charged with two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle, and one count of violent felon in possession of a firearm.

The shooting followed a fatal shooting in the neighborhood, though APD said the two incidents were unrelated.
