Police: Arrest made in Holmes Run Dog Park attempted abduction

The Alexandria Police Department said it has arrested Rohid Hakimi, a 21-year-old non-city resident, for an attempted abduction at the Holmes Run Dog Park late last month.

According to police:

The Alexandria Police Department has made an arrest in an attempted abduction at Holmes Run Dog Park. Rohid Hakimi, a 21-year-old non-city resident, has been charged with attempted abduction with intent to defile and sexual battery.

At approximately 6 p.m. on October 29, 2024, the victim was grabbed from behind and fought off the attacker, who then ran from the scene.

Hakimi was arrested, Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The victim told police that the man put his hand over her mouth and nose and tried to pull her onto the trail. She was able to escape without injury.
