Police are currently investigating a body discovered in the area of Homes Run Parkway near Cameron Station.
Alexandria Fire Department spokeswoman Raytevia Evans said that around 9:35 a.m. they received a call and dispatched an inland rescue unit for the report of a possible body in the water.
Police are currently investigating scene and Evans said the fire department is standing by to remove the person once the investigation is completed.
NOTIFICATION:: The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a body found in the water off Holmes Run Trail by Cameron Run Regional Park. The trail is closed for police activity. Please avoid the area.
