Police Investigate More Shots Fired Overnight in West End

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating more shots fired at night in the city.

Wednesday night saw the third straight evening with police responding to gunfire, this time occurring at around 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Jasper Place in the West End.

No one was reportedly injured, but there were multiple shots fired in the residential neighborhood and a car was hit, according to Alexandria Police spokesman Lt. Courtney Ballantine.

“An unknown suspect was seen leaving the area in a vehicle,” Ballantine said, but did not provide a suspect or vehicle description.

Shots were also heard in the Landmark area and in Old Town this week. No arrests have been reported in any of the three incidents this week.
