A 20 year-old Alexandria man was shot to death in his car in Lincolnia, and a 20-year-old Fairfax County man and a 17-year-old alleged accomplice have been arrested for his murder.

The body of Ahmed Hasheem Ebrahim has still not surfaced since it was put in a dumpster on January 16, according to Fairfax County Police. He was last seen leaving his home for a friend’s house the previous evening, Saturday, January 15. Ebrahim’s car was found on January 18 in Alexandria and towed to an impound lot.

A 40-year-old Alexandria man suspected of participating in a drive-by shooting in the West End earlier this month was released on bond shortly after being booked in the Alexandria jail.

On January 8, police were called to the area of South Pickett Street and Edsall Road after a witness reported a man driving a black Nissan point a handgun outside of the window and fire two rounds at an unknown person, according to a search warrant affidavit.

A 24-year-old Alexandria man has been arrested for the Dec. 13 drive-by shooting in the Braddock area. No one was injured in the incident, but police say nine handgun rounds were fired at another vehicle.

Antonio Barkley was charged with unlawful discharge of a weapon, felonious assault, and shooting or throwing missiles at vehicle.

Two Alexandria men were arrested last month for shooting a gun from a vehicle in the city’s Arlandria neighborhood.

The incident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8. Two Alexandria Police officers in an unmarked SUV observed a white Mercedes-Benz disregard a red light at the intersection of Russell Road and Mount Vernon Avenue, according to a search warrant affidavit. Police then began to follow the car.

An argument over marijuana was behind the Oct. 10 shooting of a juvenile on the roof of an Arlandria apartment building, according to court records.

A 17-year-old Alexandria male was arrested five days later, transported to the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center and charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a juvenile. The suspect is a student at Alexandria City High School, according to the affidavit.

(Updated 12:10 a.m.) New details have been released regarding the suspected shooting of a man multiple times in Arlandria earlier this month.

Witnesses to the Sunday, Oct. 10, shooting in Arlandria told police that Rudy Bueso Macedo, a 37-year-old man sitting in the driver’s seat of his truck, drove by and fired multiple shots at people standing in front of the Lloyd Apartments in the 3800 block of Cameron Mills Road.

The Alexandria Police Department announced that a 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged with crimes related to a shooting on Four Mile Road last week.

Last Sunday, Oct. 10, a juvenile male was shot at Park Vue of Alexandria apartments (511 Four Mile Road) just before noon. The victim had a gunshot wound on his upper body, but the injuries were considered not life-threatening and he was taken to the hospital.

After significant outcry from a school system concerned about weapons in schools, the Alexandria City Council took a dramatic 4-3 vote around 1 a.m. this morning (Wednesday) to temporarily return school resource officers (SROs) to two middle schools and Alexandria City High School until the end of this school year.

Councilman John Taylor Chapman was the lone vote to reverse course, going against Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker and Councilmen Canek Aguirre and Mo Seifeldein, who voted to keep away SROs.
