Regional foundation opens scholarship applications for Alexandria students

A local community foundation’s 2026 scholarship cycle includes 11 awards that are now accepting applications from Alexandria students.

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia opened applications for more than 30 regional scholarships on Monday. At least 11 awards are open to Alexandria students, including those studying medicine, music and the environment.

Six Alexandria students receive Community Foundation scholarships

2025 Grantees & Scholarship Awardees (via Community Foundation for Northern Virginia)

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia has awarded scholarships to six Alexandria students, part of a group of over 100 recipients who will share more than $350,000 for the 2025-2026 school year.

These scholarships, which range from $1,200 to $5,000, assist students in managing the costs of higher education.
