Is Your Young Adult (or Teen) Looking for Tools to Manage Stress?

Is your young adult (or teen) looking for tools to manage stress? Our local therapy practice recently welcomed Brittany Tokash, Resident in Counseling, and she has openings now for new clients.

Brittany collaborates with young people, explaining how stress affects us and tailoring for them healthy techniques for confidence, energy, self-esteem, friendships, school and work. If needed, Brittany also provides skilled Depression Therapy and Anxiety Therapy. With all of her clients Tokash uses a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and values work, staying focused on science-backed results and positive change.

Brittany prioritizes getting to know teens and young adults where they are, “Nobody can tell you what you’re experiencing is unimportant. If it’s causing you pain, it is significant and should be discussed with someone in a safe environment. To talk about it is the first step.”

Brittany has lived in Northern Virginia for several years, “In my spare time, you can often find me chasing after my cat, who sometimes makes an appearance in sessions. I love getting together with friends to watch HGTV and cooking shows. I myself do not cook often enough, but I sure do love to bake.”

In addition to her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University, Brittany has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from St. John Fisher University.
