Foodies will have the chance to try new eateries or return to old favorites during the next Alexandria Restaurant Week in August.
Alexandria Restaurant Week, held twice a year in January and August, will be held over 10 days from Friday, Aug. 14 to Sunday, Aug. 23. Full-service restaurants will serve prix fixe dinner menus at $35, $45 or $55 per person, and fast casual restaurants will have their own offers.
Visit Alexandria has hosted the restaurant week since 2009 to showcase the restaurant scene in the city’s neighborhoods.
“During Alexandria’s Restaurant Week, get to know the people behind the city’s most beloved dining experiences,” Visit Alexandria said in a release. “Unlock the stories of Jay Quander, whose family history spans 350 years and inspires every detail at 1799 Prime Steak & Seafood. Learn about Jamie Leeds, who named Hank’s Oyster Bar after her father, who inspired her love of seafood, and many more independent restaurant owners.”
First-time restaurant participants include Umiya Sushi, Pak Soii Izakaya & Bar and Dok Khao Thai Eatery.
