A D.C. man has been charged with felony grand larceny after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 of clothing from a popular yoga shop in Old Town last month.
The suspect was arrested on Friday, July 17, after being captured on surveillance footage allegedly stuffing Alo Yoga (814 King Street) merchandise into a white Nordstrom bag and fleeing the store without paying, according to a recently unsealed search warrant affidavit.
The suspect was arrested with a white bag after being chased by an Alexandria K-9 officer.
The suspect was released on bond and goes to court Sept. 4.
Yoga stores in Old Town are a popular target for thieves. Between September 2025 and March 2026, there were 18 confirmed thefts at Alo Yoga, according to a search warrant affidavit.
On July 1, more than $1,000 in merchandise was stolen from Alo Yoga by two female suspects. No arrests have been made in connection to this incident, and it remains under investigation.
