A Mediterranean restaurant in Old Town North has reopened after temporarily closing for renovations.
The Perfect Pita reopened earlier this week at 951 N. Fairfax Street. The restaurant’s previous plans for a second level and additional interior seating never materialized, but the newly renovated space features an expanded kitchen, a new shop counter and forthcoming outdoor seating.
“The wait is over,” the restaurant said on Facebook. “Come visit us at our newly renovated store — we’re so excited to welcome you in!”
In 2022, the restaurant shared hopes to introduce a second level with new indoor dining spaces but later canceled those plans due to the cost. The initial plans called for a new kitchen, additional bathrooms, upstairs seating and space for up to 40 guests outdoors.
Outdoor seating is still in the works, with space planned for 12 guests.
The Perfect Pita is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It has another Alexandria location at 1640 King Street in Old Town.
