Registration starts next week for more than 50 summer camps and programs hosted by Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities.
This year’s camp offerings range from sports programs to culinary education, crafting, performing arts and academics. City residents can begin to register for summer 2026 programs at 9 a.m. next Wednesday, Feb. 18, with non-resident registration opening two days later.
The city’s 2026 “Summer of Smiles Camp Guide” is now available online and at the city’s recreation centers.
“Inside, you will find camp options for ages 2 to 17 including sports, creative arts, technology, nature, performing arts, excursions, STEM, Camp Adventure, Out of School Time, and classic summer favorites,” the city said in an announcement.
Most camps offer extended care options, with Before Care from 7-9 a.m., and After Care from 4-6 p.m.
Registration will be available online, at the Lee Center (1108 Jefferson Street) or by calling the Registration and Reservation Office at 703-746-5414.
