Alexandria Police locate missing 24-year-old woman

A 24-year-old Alexandria woman who was the subject of a critical missing person alert has been safely located, police said Tuesday morning.

Robin Jacobs was found safe, the Alexandria Police Department announced at 8:44 a.m. in a social media post thanking the public for sharing the alert and assisting in the search.

Jacobs was last seen on Monday in the 300 block of S. Whiting St., according to a police alert issued at 5:01 p.m. that day.

Police had described Jacobs as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The alert noted she has medical conditions that prevented her from being able to care for herself, which prompted the urgent search.
