A 62-year-old Alexandria man who had been missing since Tuesday morning has been safely located, police announced Wednesday evening.
Fecre Desta was found safe, according to the Alexandria Police Department, which thanked the community and media for their assistance in the search.
Desta was last seen around 9 a.m. Tuesday near the 5500 block of Forrestal Avenue. Police had issued a critical missing person alert Tuesday afternoon.
Desta is described as bald and usually wearing a hat. He has brown eyes, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds.
The department did not provide details about where or how Desta was located.
