Bah! Humbug! The Little Theatre of Alexandria will be holding auditions for its upcoming performances of A Christmas Carol.

The play will be performed at the venue (600 Wolfe Street) from Dec. 6 to 20, and auditions will be held next month. Young actors ages 8 to 16, and adults aged 35+ are asked to apply, as are men 55 years old and older to play the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge.

Aside from the roles of Scrooge and two grandparents, the actors cast will play multiple roles, according to LTA.

Auditions will be held:

  • Oct. 4 (Saturday), from 12 to 4 p.m. for young actors up to 15 years old
  • Oct 4, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for adult actors ages 16 and older
  • Oct. 5 (Sunday), from 5 to 9 p.m., for adult actors ages 16 and older
  • Oct. 8 (Wednesday), at 7 p.m., for callbacks

Walk-in auditions are accepted, although actors are encouraged to register online and schedule auditions. Rehearsals will be held four days a week, according to LTA.

Actors who schedule auditions online will receive a reading from the script. They should bring their headshot and resume to the audition.
