Water main break shuts down N. Beauregard Street in Alexandria

A water main break has closed a stretch of N. Beauregard Street on Sunday morning, Alexandria police said.

The roadway is shut down between Armistead Street and Lincolnia, police announced on social media at 7:50 a.m.

Water company crews are on scene working to address the break, according to police.

No information was immediately available about the cause of the break, the expected repair time, or whether water service has been affected in the area.

Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes while crews work to repair the break.
