Alexandria defense contractor lands $70M in CBRN defense contracts

Alexandria-based BryceTech has been awarded three prime contracts worth approximately $70 million over five years to advance chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense, the company announced Tuesday.

The multi-year contracts support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense and will see BryceTech deploy about 50 full-time professionals with acquisition, scientific, technical, and programmatic expertise.

The work focuses on accelerating medical countermeasure development, strengthening enterprise decision-support systems, and enhancing operational coordination across research, logistics, quality assurance, and program execution.

BryceTech will support three key Defense Department offices under the contracts. JPL Enabling Biotechnologies advances development, manufacturing, testing and deployment of medical countermeasures. JPM CBRN Integration delivers enterprise threat warning, hazard prediction and decision-support systems. JPM CBRN Medical fields FDA-approved diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines against evolving CBRN threats.

The contracts were awarded under the General Services Administration’s OASIS+ contract vehicle.

“Protecting the Joint Warfighter depends on advancing and integrating CBRN defense capabilities that allow our forces to operate, fight, and win,” said Jeff Mujsce, chief growth officer at BryceTech.

The company, headquartered at 1737 King St., Suite 601, delivers data-driven solutions in aerospace, biosecurity and defense through systems engineering, advanced analytics and strategic advisory services. BryceTech’s clients include NASA, the departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.

BryceTech has been recognized in the Washington Technology Fast 50 for four consecutive years and was named GovCon Contractor of the Year in 2023. The company also made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies at No. 915 earlier this month, achieving 463% growth and ranking among 19 Alexandria businesses on the prestigious annual ranking.
