Bestselling author Adriana Trigiani to host special evening in Alexandria benefiting Campagna Center

Alexandria residents will have the opportunity to spend an evening with bestselling author Adriana Trigiani on Friday, July 25, at a special fundraising event benefiting the Campagna Center at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial (101 Callahan Dr.).

The evening will feature Trigiani in conversation with Christine Gunderson, a former television journalist, Capitol Hill press secretary, and debut novelist. The event celebrates “the power of storytelling, literature, and conversation” while raising funds for one of Alexandria’s oldest nonprofit organizations.

Trigiani, known for her heartfelt novels, will share personal reflections, writing inspiration, and insights from her latest work, “The View from Lake Como.” Every ticket purchase includes a signed copy of the new book. Gunderson’s debut novel, “Friends with Secrets,” will be available for purchase at the event.

The evening begins with an Italian-catered author reception from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, offering guests the opportunity to mingle with both authors before the main conversation, which takes place from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Attendees can choose between general admission tickets, which include entry to the 7:00 PM talk and a signed copy of Trigiani’s book, or special author reception tickets that provide early access to the 5:30 p.m. reception along with all general admission benefits.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Campagna Center, which has served the Alexandria community since 1945. The nonprofit supports children and families earning between 100-200% of the federal poverty level through early childhood education, after-school programs, workforce development initiatives, and enrichment programs. More than 2,000 children and families utilize the center’s services annually.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
