‘Red, White and Bloom’ street festival coming to Del Ray

Del Ray’s monthly First Thursday street festival is returning with its “Red, White and Bloom” theme on July 3 from 6 p.m. until sunset.

DJ Thunder Bunny will take the stage at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (2311 Mount Vernon Avenue), and the free event includes themed activities like a watermelon seed spitting contest.

First Thursday is sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association.

DRBA is asking for adult and children’s book donations to be dropped off for A Company of Books (2200 Mount Vernon Avenue).
