Here’s the last available voting turnout numbers in Alexandria before polls close

There’s less than three hours before polls close in Alexandria.

Here’s how the numbers are looking, as of 4 p.m.:

  • 5,951 voters in Alexandria precincts cast in-person votes (5.9%)
  • 5,511 residents voted absentee (5.45%)
  • In total, 11,462 residents voted (11.34%)

The city can expect to see a turnout of up to 13% today, Angie Turner, the city’s registrar and director of elections, told ALXnow.

Voters are also choosing between Democrats Shannon L. Taylor and Jay C. Jones for Virginia Attorney General. The winner will challenge incumbent Republican Jason Miyares in November.
