The Lyles Brothers Sports Foundation Inc. announced Wednesday (April 16) that former Alexandria School Board Chair Meagan Alderton has been elected as its new President of the Board of Directors.
We are thrilled to announce Meagan Alderton has been elected as the new President of our Board of Directors. Meagan brings over 14 years of nonprofit experience and a passion for physical and mental health.
The Lyles Brothers Sports Foundation was started by the family of track and field athlete, Olympian, and Alexandria City High School graduate, Noah Lyles. The name of the foundation refers to Noah and his brother, Josephus, who is also a professional athlete.
Alderton was elected to the Alexandria City School Board in 2018 and served two full terms through December 2024. She served as Board chair from January 2021 to July 2023.
The mission of the Lyle Brothers Sports Foundation is to “empower youth through the advancement of health and wellness in communities nationwide. We provide financial support and motivation by collaborating with global, national, and local partners”.
