Ford’s Garage, a burger and craft beer restaurant chain with a Ford Motor Company theme, is expanding in Virginia. Today (April 15), the company announced plans to open a new location in Alexandria.
The Tampa-based franchise has struck a deal with FG Nova to launch three new restaurants in Northern Virginia. Alexandria, Fairfax, and Woodbridge are on the list.
“This deal with franchisee FG Nova, will bring three new restaurants to the Northern part of the state. The group is specifically looking at locations in Alexandria, Fairfax and Woodbridge, as they work to introduce new communities to the Ford’s Garage difference,” a press release sent on behalf of Ford’s Garage states.
This expansion builds on Ford’s Garage’s current presence in Virginia, where it already runs a restaurant in Richmond.
Ford’s Garage features cars hanging from the ceiling and other old-school automotive touches. The menu includes burgers, wings, a tower of onion rings, and other comfort foods and desserts.
Ford’s Garage is the only restaurant brand with an official Ford licensing agreement, allowing it to use the company’s logo and branding. The company is focusing its expansion plans on areas east of the Mississippi. Since its start in Fort Myers, Florida, in 2012, Ford’s Garage has 30 locations across eight states.
The location and opening date for the Alexandria location haven’t been announced yet.
