Police investigating alleged robbery at gunpoint in Old Town

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) investigating a report of an armed robbery on the iconic cobble stone Captain’s Row in Old Town.

According to the scanner, a person called in around 1:20 p.m. saying they were just robbed at gunpoint at the intersection of Prince Street and S. Lee Street in Old Town, two blocks from the waterfront.

APD Communications Manager Tracy Walker said the person reported being robbed of a personal item on the 100 block of S. Lee Street.

Walker said no suspect information was provided and there were no injuries reported from the robbery.
