Port City is getting its own new, permanent taco spot this weekend.
La Tingeria is scheduled to have a grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Port City ( 3950 Wheeler Avenue).
A release from Port City said the event will have fun attractions like a mariachi band.
“La Tingeria has been named by Washingtonian magazine in their TOP 100 VERY BEST RESTAURANTS list for the past two years running, and FOOD & WINE magazine recently named them as one of the top 50 taquerias in the United States,” Port City said in a release. “Chef David Peña’s authentic Mexican offerings are the perfect pairing for our local craft beers. Personally, I’ll take the chicken tinga taco with an Optimal Wit any day!”
The restaurant offers a variety of tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and more.
