Local pickleball enthusiasts rejoice: DC Fray and Carlyle Crossing are hosting a pickleball party next week at Carlyle Plaza (2455 Mandeville Lane), though tickets to compete in the tournament have sold out.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
“Get ready for a day of endless pickleball fun – from tournaments to a live DJ, and free play to prizes,” the event listing said. “Whether you’re in it to win it or just want to come check out what all this picklemania is about, this party has something for everyone.”
The event will feature a mix of “pickleball demonstrations” from experts, local retailers with pickleball accouterment, a live DJ and more.
The event is free and open to the public to attend, though tickets for the tournament seem to have sold out.
