Alexandria and Arlington Democrats to converge on kickball field

The upcoming kickball game between the Alexandria Democratic Committee and the Arlington Democrats is on Sept. 7, 2024 (via ADC)

While Alexandria and Arlington are widely known as Democratic strongholds in Northern Virginia, the real question is which locality’s Democratic leaders are better at kickball.

All will be revealed at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, when the Alexandria Democratic Committee faces the Arlington Democrats at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center baseball field (2701 Commonwealth Avenue).

The winner will launch a campaign canvas from their home territory, and the loser will have to participate in the canvas.

Losers and winners alike will be able to sooth bruised muscles and egos with descriptions of their favorite moments punctuated by margaritas at the after-party at Los Tios Grill (2615 Mount Vernon Avenue).

The event is open to kids, and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.
