The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is investigating a shooting off Duke Street yesterday (Sunday) afternoon near 4600 Duke Street
APD described the incident as “a felonious assault with non-life-threatening injuries.

Scanner traffic indicated that the victim was reportedly shot near playground and pool, possibly the one near the Holmes Run Trail. The victim told police a man got out of a car and approached him, shot him in the hand, and then got back into the car and fled.
APD said, as of Monday morning, there was no update in the case.
