🚨 You need to know
Power went out for around 17,000 Alexandria customers this weekend as a result of an intense storm, but by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Dominion’s outage map indicated last of the major outages were resolved.
There are a handful of outages around Alexandria, the largest being around 40 customers without power in North Ridge, but the city is mostly past the large-scale outages citywide.
We are now down to just under a thousand Alexandrians without power.@DominionEnergy has indicated that the “vast majority” should be restored by 11PM tonight.
Stay cool!

Dominion spokesperson Peggy Fox said there were around 90,000 outages across the greater Northern Virginia area as a result of the storm, with around 500 work locations. Some of those locations, Fox said, take up to 11 people working all day to restore.
“It’s an intense amount of human power that it requires for many of those jobs,” Fox said.
Yeah. So, this power outage was a lot. We'll be back Tuesday folks, but restocking from nothing is a whole lot. Tuesday will be weird, Wednesday will be fraught, and Thursday will be full. Our sausages might be kinda light. Please bear with us while we get back on track.
