JUST IN: Pedestrian struck by car in Arlandria

(Updated on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.) An adult female was seriously injured Saturday night (Dec. 11) after being hit by a car in Arlandria.

The incident occurred at around 6:40 p.m. at Four Mile Road near Old Dominion Boulevard, Alexandria Police told ALXnow.

The pedestrian was transported to The George Washington University Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The 41-year-old driver, Luis Antonio Ortiz, stayed at the scene and was charged with DUI Maiming and DUI Second Offense, police said.
