‘Brewski’s Barkhaus’ is Opening This Saturday

If you’re looking for a place to unwind with your pooch, Brewski’s Barkhaus is opening on Saturday, October 17.

The D.C. Metro area’s first-ever dog-friendly bar and restaurant with an off-leash indoor and outdoor dog park will open its doors at 529 E. Howell Avenue. The location along Richmond Highway in Del Ray is the former home of Flat Top Burger, and its redevelopment has been in the works for more than six months.

Brewski’s was founded by friends and former Virginia Tech classmates Alex Benbassat and Justin LeGore. Their idea is simple — members and guests can enjoy food and drinks while their dogs run around in supervised on-and-off leash dog play areas.

To attend, dogs must have updated vaccinations, including Parvo, Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Distemper (DHPP, DHLPP, DA2PP). Adult dogs must also be spayed or neutered.

Day passes will also be available for $10 per visit, and $5 for first-timers.
