Most adults over 50 have heard the same advice for years: stay active. Walk more. Take the stairs.
It’s good advice, but it leaves out the part that matters most. Muscle loss starts in your 30s and speeds up after 50, and walking alone doesn’t stop it. You can feel fine and keep a steady weight while getting a little weaker every year. Then one day, getting up off the floor or carrying a suitcase upstairs feels harder than it should.
Most people never see it coming because nobody ever measures it.
That’s the idea behind Fall Into Fitness, a 21-day coached program from Revolutionary Fitness, the strength and longevity studio at 215 N. Payne St. in Old Town. It opens with a Full Body Fitness Assessment, which measures how your strength, balance, and mobility compare to your actual age. Your numbers might come in younger than your birthday or older. Either way, you leave with a real baseline and a plan to improve it.
Everyone over 50 knows they should stay active. Almost nobody has been shown where they actually stand. Once you know where you actually stand, you stop guessing. Then we coach you to move it in the right direction.
From there, participants train in semi-private sessions of four to six people, up to three times a week. The coaching focuses on building strength, protecting muscle and bone, and moving with confidence. Participants also get weekly check-ins with their coaches throughout the program.
There’s no contract and no automatic enrollment into a membership when the 21 days end. Spots are limited so every participant gets hands-on coaching.
