Dear Alexandria Branch of the NAACP Members:
Following the 2024 National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Election Procedures, the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP held a General Membership meeting on Thursday October 24, 2024. The purpose of the meeting (in part) was to select candidates for branch officers including President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary and at-large members of the Executive Committee positions.
On November 14, 2024, the election of officers and at-large members of the Executive Committee will be administered using the NAACP electronic voting platform. The voting will be open from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
In order members to vote in Branch election, one must be a member in good standing of the Branch 30 days prior to the election or October 15, 2024.
Should a run-off election be necessary it will be conducted not less than ten (10) days after the original election. ((Article IX Section 2[g]) Bylaws for Units of the NAACP).
