Meet Aries Ann, a 1-year-old at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria simply looking for a home to match her sweet nature.
It may take a bit of time for Aries Ann to warm up to new people. But once she does, her fun-loving nature will come out.
“She tends to be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you take your time and go slow with her, you will quickly see Aries Ann for the fun, loving dog that she is,” an AWLA volunteer told ALXnow. “As a matter of fact, don’t be surprised if she puts her paws in your lap and kisses you!”
Aries Ann would thrive in a home with adults only and not much outdoor activity, as she can get nervous in a busy setting. However, her house manners and crate training will help her win over her housemates.
The 1-year-old pup is 49 pounds and has a black and white coat. Aries Ann has a playful nature and can easily entertain herself for a while with a chew toy or playing fetch and tug.
“She is a very affectionate dog who loves neck scratches and belly rubs,” the volunteer said. “If you are looking for a smart dog who is eager to learn and is very affectionate, Aries Ann may just be the perfect choice.”
Interested adopters can contact AWLA and visit Aries Ann during the shelter’s regular adoption hours:
