New 97-Unit West End Town Home Community to Host Grand Opening

A new 97-unit townhome community will be virtually unveiled in Alexandria next month, and the West End townhomes start at $600,000.

Bren Pointe by Winchester Homes has nearly 100 three-level properties as big as 2,237 square feet. The homes range from two-to-five bedrooms with two-and-a-half to five-and-a-half bathrooms. A few of the properties also have a fourth level with a loft, an extra bedroom, bathroom and rooftop terraces, according to Winchester Homes.

The virtual unveiling will showcase three new home models, the Cameron, Quaker and Stevenson in the 6200 block of Edsall Road.

“Our vision for Bren Pointe was to create Alexandria’s most desirable new townhome community with modern designs, endless options and open concept floor plans,” said Brad Blank, president of Winchester Homes. “Coupled with proximity to nearby parks, the Metro, Reagan National Airport and the best shopping, dining and entertainment in Old Town, Bren Pointe is ideal for connection to the broader community and D.C. metro area.”

The property includes a dog park, a sport court and access to the Bren Mar Recreation Association, which is just across Esdall Road.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
