The goal of ALX Live Studios (no relation to ALXnow) is making high-quality live streams and podcasts more accessible and affordable to produce.

Ricardo Alfaro, co-chair of Agenda Alexandria and co-founder of one of Puerto Rico’s first podcasts, has launched a Kickstarter for a new production studio for podcasting, livestreaming and content creation.

“In contrast to other studio projects that cater primarily to large-scale productions, ALX Live Studios is built with smaller organizations in mind,” Alfaro wrote. “The studio aims to eliminate the barriers that often prevent small businesses and non-profits from producing professional-grade content.”

Alfaro said the studio aims to offer a streamlined studio that eliminates barriers like coordinating technicians or navigating complex production processes.

The Kickstarter aims to fund the setup of the studio, purchasing production equipment and a user-friendly booking system. The lion’s share of the project’s $40,000 goal is $33,000 per year to lease studio space.
