Alexandria’s Bastille, Andy’s Pizza collect awards at regional RAMMYS

Two restaurants with Alexandria ties have earned RAMMY awards from the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington.

Winners of the 44th Annual RAMMYs Awards were announced yesterday (Monday) at a gala at The Wharf’s Arena Stage in D.C. The 20 categories of the RAMMYS recognize the D.C. region’s chefs, restaurateurs and other industry professionals.

Juan Ramirez of Bastille Brasserie & Bar won the Manager of the Year award. Todd Hunt of Oak Steakhouse Alexandria had also been nominated.

Andy’s Pizza, which has a location in Old Town, won the Fast Casual Restaurant of the Year award. Another nominee in the category — Call Your Mother — can be found in Alexandria as well.
