A new senior living community opened today in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard neighborhood.
The Riviera, a new 129-unit senior apartment building located at 2700 Main Line Blvd, held a grand opening today (Monday) for its facilities, which are owned by Texas-based Silverstone Senior Living. The property is located next door to its sister senior community, The Landing, which opened in 2022 and offers “luxury assisted living and memory care rental retirement options.”
“As a sister property to The Landing, the members of The Riviera benefit from additional support options in assisted living or memory care should needs ever change,” The Riviera said in a release. “This integrated campus approach ensures that members and their loved ones can remain connected to trusted care and support throughout the aging journey.”
Monthly lease rates for a one-bedroom residence start at $7,595, and monthly rates for a two-bedroom residence start at $11,995, according to The Riviera’s website. The community is pet-friendly and “tailored specifically for adults age 62 and better in a country club atmosphere,” according to Silverstone.
Jamie Houston, the executive director at both properties, said The Riviera’s opening is an exciting milestone.
“What truly excites me about The Riviera is the balance it offers,” Houston said in the release. “From lifelong learning options and upscale dining experiences to diverse fitness offerings, and lifestyle amenities such as live entertainment and community excursions, members will feel like they’re stepping into an exciting new chapter of life.”
The Riviera is managed by Greystone Properties and currently employs 30 full-time staff, with plans to add an additional 56 jobs when at full capacity.
Silverstone also owns The Providence in Fairfax and The Trillium in Tysons Corner.
The Riviera will host a special preview event with guided tours on March 20 and 24, with a ribbon cutting expected early next month.
